Landgoed De Campagne is a Ghent nature reserve and park. It includes various biotopes such as a pond, grasslands, forest areas and canals and it therefore has a very diverse fauna and flora. The villa used to belong to a bigger castle, inhabited by the Hamelinck family in the 18th century. They later left the place because a family member, Louis Hamelinck was murdered there. After that it has been property of the Jesuit order. In 1972 it became property of the City of Ghent. The garden was opened to the public and the castle was designated as a cultural center.
The song goes "Let's play in the forest until the wolf is there, is the wolf there?" And then the wolf answers what activity he performs to start his day. While the wolf prepares himself, the children play. The wolf gets up, brushes his teeth, bathes and dresses, until he is ready to hunt. Then the wolf answers the children that he is already there and that he will eat them. He then continues to hunt them and the children start to run.
UNTIL THE WOLF IS THERE brings together works that play with color, nature, concepts such as innocence, childhood and calmness but which in turn deal with a reality that goes beyond and is more complex. The works denounce, express and accompany other realities such as those of vulnerable populations in certain socio-economic contexts, or those of ecosystems badly affected by the production systems of the inhabitants. These realities are shaped by a kind of duality in which there is the positive (the forest, the jungle, the infant, the family, the celebration of life) and the negative (the wolf, the predator, fear, poverty, conflict). The works deal with victims and victimizers who sometimes get mixed up -as is the case with the human who damages his own environment or a mind whose own fears and insecurities can be tormenting- or conversely sometimes manifest themselves clearly, as in the case of the vulnerable subject suffering from abuse by a specific system or by particular individuals. However, the works approach from different perspectives, propose new discourses about these situations without necessarily referring or using speeches such as journalism, the chronicle or any other speech in which it may happen that the victim is directly pointed at as a victim. The artists positions herself/himself within the game and evaluates her/his role within that game until the wolf is there.

Het kinderlied is als volgt: "Laten we in het bos spelen totdat de wolf er is, is de wolf er?" Vervolgens antwoordt de wolf welke activiteit hij uitvoert om zijn dag te beginnen. Terwijl de wolf zich voorbereidt, spelen de kinderen. De wolf staat op, poetst zijn tanden, wast zich en kleedt zich, totdat hij klaar is om te jagen. Dan antwoordt de wolf de kinderen dat hij er al is en dat hij ze gaat opeten. Hij start zijn jacht en de kinderen vluchten.
UNTIL THE WOLF IS THERE brengt werken samen die spelen met kleur, natuur, concepten zoals onschuld, jeugd en kalmte, maar die op hun beurt omgaan met een realiteit die verder gaat en complexer is. De werken zetten zich af tegen/begeleiden of omschrijven andere realiteiten zoals die van kwetsbare bevolkingsgroepen in bepaalde socio-economische contexten, of die van ecosystemen die zwaar getroffen zijn door de productiesystemen van haar inwoners. Deze werkelijkheden worden gevormd door een soort dualiteit waarin het positieve is (het bos, de jungle, het kind, het gezin, de viering van het leven) en het negatieve (de wolf, het roofdier, angst, armoede, conflict). De werken gaan over slachtoffers en daders tussen welke de scheidslijn soms troebel is - zoals het geval is met de mens die schade toebrengt aan zijn eigen omgeving of een geest wiens eigen angsten en onzekerheden kwellend kunnen zijn - of waar deze zich soms duidelijk manifesteert, zoals in het geval van de kwetsbare persoon die lijdt aan misbruik door een specifiek systeem of door bepaalde personen. De werken tonen verschillende perspectieven, stellen nieuwe discoursen voor over deze situaties zonder noodzakelijkerwijs te verwijzen naar of gebruik te maken van toespraken zoals journalistiek, de kroniek of enige andere vorm van taal waarin het slachtoffer rechtstreeks als slachtoffer wordt aangewezen. De kunstenaars plaatsen zichzelf in het spel en evalueren hun rol binnen dat spel totdat de wolf er is.
